About Brainiacs Science Discovery Center

Brainiacs provides multiple classes with hands-on science experiments for children ages 3-12. We focus on FUN while analyzing Life, Earth, and Physical Science. We integrate visual learning through animated Power Point presentations and kinesthetic learning with hands-on, child-centered teaching. Research has proven that children learn best by DOING!

The classes are divided by age groups so that appropriate developmental skills can be addressed and targeted. Each of the three sessions provides completely different experiments – NO REPEAT EXPERIMENTS!

The “Mommy and Me” Pre-K class allows you to join your preschool aged child in fun exploration of the world around us. Your child will delight in participating in real experiments where they are the scientist and you are the helper!

Bonni Goldstein, M.D. is a founder and owner of Brainiacs. From the age of eight, Bonni’s passion has been science. Bonni’s main focus is to pass this interest in our world to children in order to help create our future scientists. Bonni grew up on the East Coast where in college she majored in Biology at Rutgers University. After getting her medical degree at Rutgers Medical School, she moved to Los Angeles to complete her internship and residency at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles. After a year as Chief Resident, she worked in the fields of Emergency Transport, Critical Care, and General Pediatrics. Bonni was a Clinical Instructor in the Pediatric Emergency Department at the LAC-USC Medical Center for 9 years, where she taught the art of pediatric care to many medical students and residents. For the past 3 years she has been treating children in the Emergency Department at Little Company of Mary Hospital in Torrance. Bonni lives in Palos Verdes with her husband and her 5 year old son.
